Thanks to the subsidies received, SOMEX is increasing its expansion into new markets and competitiveness in the technologies it offers.
The company SOMEX Tomasz Koster spółka komandytowo-akcyjna, has received funding for the implementation of the project entitled.
Increasing the competitiveness and production capacity of Somex through the expansion of the machinery park, digitisation of the plant and implementation of new and improved products.
The main objective of the investment is to adapt the company to changing market and technological conditions and the growing needs of its customers, thus increasing its competitiveness while respecting the environment.
The investment will enable the company to start production of a new innovative product in the form of coloured regranulate and implement a new service for optical sorting of plastic waste and production of improved regranulate. As part of the project, an innovative waste sorting process will be implemented and the process of informing about the quality of a specific product batch will be improved by creating product sheets for each batch. In addition, specialised software will be implemented to measure production quality and a data server to store information about each product batch.
The project is part of the implementation of the policy of the company's Board of Directors and staff to strive to source the highest quality raw material, which is then destined for re-use by manufacturers of finished products.
The implementation of the project will have a positive impact on the expansion into new markets through a new service for optical sorting of plastic waste , the development of staff and management competences, the optimisation of energy costs and the prevention of environmental damage.
The achievement of the above objectives will translate into the following results:
- Additional waste recycling capacity - 100 tonnes/year
- Waste prepared for reuse - 14 tonnes/year
- Electricity generated from RES sources - 20 MWh/year.
Value of the project (total project cost) - PLN 5,473,500.00
Amount of European Funds contribution - PLN 2,002,500.00.
